Since the beginning of 2024, cyber-attacks have exploded (+28% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the last quarter of 2023), which is why protecting your data has become a crucial issue. To counter these attempts, Sopra HR has put in place additional measures to secure access to its HR payroll solutions and its support site.
Cyber attacks can have serious consequences for individuals and companies, such as :
- Theft of personal and sensitive data: Your personal information, such as your surname, first name, e-mail address, telephone number and passwords, can be stolen and used for illegal purposes, such as identity theft or bank fraud.
- Business disruption: Cyber attacks can paralyse computer systems and disrupt a company's operations, resulting in significant financial losses.
- Corruption of files: Cyber attacks can replace accessible files with malicious files, resulting in the destruction of the computer that downloads it or the addition of viruses.
- Damage to reputation: A cyber attack can seriously damage a company's reputation and the confidence of its customers.
That's why, since the beginning of July 2024, access to our support site has required multi-factor authentication (MFA). This dual identification is also available to all customers of our HR payroll solutions.
What is MFA?
MFA adds an extra layer of security to your connections to your Sopra HR spaces by requiring an additional proof of identity in addition to your e-mail and your password that allows you to be identified with certainty, such as a code sent by SMS or by authentication application.
Why is MFA important?
Activating the MFA allows you to:
Protect access to Sopra HR solutions: Even if someone obtains your password, they will not be able to log on to your space without the second proof of identity.
Increase the security of your data: Your sensitive data is better protected against hackers and information theft.
Comply with security regulations: Many companies and organisations now require MFA to protect their sensitive data.
